Valentine's for Veterans
- Thurs 3-6 pm in Lafun
- sign up for 1 hour shifts
- people can stop through and write a valentine to be sent to VFW with chocolate
Martin's Food Drive
- Saturday, March 21st
- 11 AM to 2 or 3 PM
- hand out slips of paper with suggestions for purchase
- To be sent to military personnel
Our soldier: Darrell
- on leave for two weeks to see his family
- next step: Afghanistan to employ his medical skills
Blood Drive
- Tentative date: April 27th
- possible dates in March
- blood donations have been down 15% this year due to weather
Vaccinate a Village
- vaccinations against measles and rubella
- $1 buys one vaccination
- event idea: "Make a Village" (sponsor a child, family or school room)
- incentive: if you make a $10 donation, get a shirt
- or baked goods, but might be too complicated
- Not a friday, do something 2 days consecutively?
